1. How do I book and pay?
We do not require a deposit to save your date. You can settle the payment in cash (Yen) on the day of our shoot or via PayPal.
Note: A 4.5% transaction fee applies to all PayPal payments.
2. Kimono Rentals & Timing.
We'll provide a list of recommended rental shops based on your chosen location. To ensure we start our session on time, please keep the following in mind:

• Rental Timing: Most shops open at 10:00 AM and require returns by 5:00 PM. (I can recommend a 6:00 AM shop in Kyoto, subject to their availability).
• Preparation Time: It typically takes 30 minutes for donning the kimono and 20 minutes for hair/makeup. Please schedule your appointment at least 1 hour before our shoot.
• Remember to book "Hair & Makeup" in advance if needed to get an accurate quote from the shop.
3. What is the Transit Policy? (2 & 3-hour sessions)
We move between locations together to keep the narrative of your shoot continuous.
• Travel Time: Walking and transit are included in the session time. We continue to capture candid, "life-in-motion" moments during these transitions so no part of your story is missed.
• Complimentary Taxi: One taxi trip (up to 25 mins) is included for up to 3 guests. Longer journeys or the need for a second vehicle (for groups of 4+) are the client's responsibility.
• Electric Bicycles: Complimentary for up to 2 guests (3-hour Osaka sessions only).
4. What if I am running late?
We understand that travel in a new country can be unpredictable. If you contact us at least 4 hours before our session, we're happy to adjust our start time so you get your full session length. Without prior notice, late arrivals will result in a shorter shooting duration to protect subsequent bookings.
5. What if it rains?
I check the weather a week in advance. We can pivot to "Plan B" covered locations or use umbrellas for a moody look. If the weather makes shooting truly impossible, we're happy to reschedule you to the next available slot.
6. When will I receive my final photos?
The clock is in your hands! You will receive a selection gallery within 24 hours.
The 7-Day Rule: My editing countdown only begins once you have finalized your photo selection. Choose your favorites quickly, and we’ll get to work on the professional grading immediately!
7. What are "Split Times"?
A ¥15,000 convenience fee applies if you wish to split your 2-hour or 3-hour session (e.g., shooting 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night). This covers the separate scheduling, double equipment prep, and additional travel logistics involved.
8. Who covers Entrance Fees?
If you choose a location that requires an entrance fee (temples, shrines, or private gardens), the client is responsible for covering the cost for the entire group and the photographer at the venue.
9. What is your Editing Style?
All photos receive our signature professional color grading.
Note: This does not include "heavy alterations" (such as changing body shapes or removing permanent background structures). Specialized retouching can be discussed for an additional fee.
